The President of the United States of America, Donald Trump and his wife the First Lady, Melania Trump have tested positive to COVID 19.
This comes up after one of the closest and high profile member of Trump administration, senior adviser Hope Hicks was reported positive for the virus on Thursday, October 1.
President Trump took to his Twitter account to share the news this morning, Friday, October 2. He wrote;
Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID 19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!

The president was seen in public returning to the White House after a fundraising trip to New Jersey on Thursday, though he did not appear sick he refused to speak to the press as he walked to his residence.
The President‘s physician, Navy Commander Dr Sean Conley issued a memo regarding the health of President Trump on Thursday. He said;
The president and first lady are both well at this time, and they plan to remain at home within the White House during their convalescence.
